Program Summary:

A fun night of candy-related programming that got LOTS of new girls interested in BBG!

Full Description:

We had an event with candy-related programming that was geared specifically towards prospectives and newer members to really get interested in BBG. There were 10 prospectives there!

6:30 PM- 7:00 PM: Arrive, have prospective sign ins, and pay for the event

7:00 PM- 7:20 PM: M&M Creation Station: Each person randomly picks out three m&m’s and each color represents something different they have to say about themselves + their name, grade, and school. And they can take a handful of m&m’s separately and make a picture with it to show us when it’s their turn, or just to eat.

7:20 PM- 7:50 PM: Jello Jungle: Relay race: they run to the other side of the backyard, grab a spoon, place the back of it in their mouths and scoop jello from a bowl into the spoon (which is still in their mouths. Then they have to first spin around three times, then crawl like a bear, then walk like a pidgin, then run like a penguin (legs straight), then feed the next person in line the spoon of jello so they can leave. If their jello falls out of the spoon throughout the race, they have to go back and start again.

7:50 PM- 8:10 PM: Marshmallow Madness: Dodge ball with marshmallows. If you get hit you sit down. There is one appointed savior person. In order to get back up you either have to catch a marshmallow from someone who through it from the opposing team, or the savior person finds and gives you a marshmallow. If your savior person gets out, then your team isn't in a good position!

8:10 PM- 8:30 PM: Havdallah + Cheers

8:30 PM- 9:05 PM: Lollipop Cave of Silence: Put everyone in pairs. There is no talking (as lollipops will be in their mouths) and one partner cannot leave from inside a certain area, probably a hoola hoop. Tell the partner that is in the hoola hoop where a hidden piece of candy is and they have to get their partner to find it, open it, and eat it with neither of them talking.

9:05 PM- 9:20 PM: Snap Crackle and Pop Kitchen: Everyone will make rice crispy treats together while a few helpers will make everyone a cup of hot cocoa for…….

9:20 PM- 9:50 PM: Hot Chocolate Springs: Here everyone will eat their rice crispy treats and drink hot cocoa. People will split into groups of 4-5 people, and the Morah, S'ganit, N'siah, Madricha, and other board member will talk about BBYO and answer any questions.

9:50 PM- 10:30 PM: Choco Factory: People will be put into groups of 4-5 and they will be given a list of candy bar names. They then have to create a story using the names of the candy bars. Then present the stories group by group.

Have a few girls help out throughout the night to keep the location you're using clean because it might get a little bit messy!
