Star Gazing
READ: We just observed the High Holidays, which were holy and spiritual; we ate apples and honey, prayed, fasted, and repented our sins. Whereas, now during the holiday Sukkot it is a physical holiday and relates a lot more to the earth. During Sukkot we relax, eat, pray, shake the lulav and the etrog, and sleep in the Sukkah. We are always connected to the stars and the earth. However, during Sukkot the stars and the earth are a huge part of this joyful celebration of this holiday. The Sukkah is like a mother who is caring and always there for support and her sheltering arms are always open there for you, and the Sukkah is there for protection and it allow us to see the stars. For the next twenty minutes everyone is going to be let free to go star gaze. But please use this time to think and reflect on your week; also meditate and relax.

(Everyone will come back together and we will have a discussion then have Havdallah.)

Have a discussion about your week – the good and the bad, and say what you are looking forward to in the next week.

Sukkah Program
(Everyone will be numbered off – there will be four groups)
MATERIALS: Trash!
READ: Everyone should be in a group by now. The object of this program is to make the most imaginative and outrageous  “Kosher” Sukkah made out of TRASH!
The requirements of a Kosher Sukkah are the following:
• The Sukkah should be built under the open skies.
• The roof of the Sukkah must be made of an organic material, and leave room for the stars to be seen
• It is customary to build a Sukkah with four complete walls.
Each group will have a different workspace to build their Sukkah. In the center of all the groups will be a pile of trash. Each group will nominate one teammate to go into the center and grab as much trash as possible. They will be able to go back to the center a few times. Once each group gets all their trash they can start building their Sukkah! All the materials MUST be used! So be smart with what you pick up! Don’t forget to involve the requirements on how to build a kosher Sukkah! At the very end the Sukkahs will be judged. Good luck!

(Could be judged by the old beaus/sweetheart OR who ever plans the program)

8:30-9:30 - Chill/Play Songs/ S'mores/Bonfire/Announce Beau and Sweetheart
We ate S'mores and played songs around the Bonfire. The old beau/sweetheart walked around the fire and told everyone about their term and then announced the new beau/sweetheart! After everyone just chilled, ate, and sang songs!

9:30-10:00 - Load up and head back

Submitter's Suggestions:

Make sure that you have all the materials set before that night, have the fire prepared before all the BBGs and AZAs get there! HAVE FUN!
